Unlocking the Flipendo Spell with Professor Garlick in Hogwarts Legacy
This article is over 3 years old and may contain outdated information.

If you are looking to unlock the “Spilled Milk” Achievement in Hogwarts Legacy, you will need to acquire Flipendo, a Spell that flings its target into a forced backflip. Of course, the utility of this Spell goes beyond flipping cows for pleasure and can be highly effective against hostile opponents in combat. For instance, it can be used to perform a crown-controlling spin-stun on regular enemies or those with purple shields. Such a move can be practical when dealing with multiple aggressive targets, allowing you to temporarily discombobulate one or more foes in a fight.

To unlock the Flipendo Spell in Hogwarts Legacy, you must clear Professor Garlicks’s second Assignment. This quest tasks you with planting Fluxweed and using all three combat plants simultaneously in battle. To get Fluxweed Stems or any of the combat plants, you must pay a visit to Hogsmeade.

Fluxweed Stems can be purchased from Timothy at The Magic Neep for 350 G. This Seed type is “large,” meaning that you will need a Potting Table with a Large Pot to place in your Room of Requirement. You can buy the Spellcraft for this Potting Table from Thomas at Tomes and Scrolls for 1,000 G. If you want the tables with additional Pots, you will need to pay several thousand more Galleons. Once you have acquired the Stems and Spellcraft, you will be ready to complete the first part of Professor Garlicks’s second Assignment. However, your shopping trip in Hogsmeade to unlock Flipendo in Hogwarts Legacy is not over yet.

After visiting Timothy and Thomas, make your way to the northern corner of Hogsmeade to find Beatrice at the Dogweed and Deathcap. She sells both the Seeds and combat plants themselves. If you have the coin, you can forgo the planting process and buy the plants directly. Next, head to your Room of Requirement and plant the Fluxweed to harvest later on. Afterward, explore the world in search of a fight, preferably with multiple targets. Use all three combat plants in the combat instance to clear the second portion of the Assignment. Finally, visit Professor Garlick in person to finish her quest and unlock Flipendo in Hogwarts Legacy.
