The best way to celebrate 25 years of dueling is with friendship, of course. That’s what Yu-Gi-Oh Master Duel plans to accomplish with The Bond of Duelists Event. Jump into the game like usual, but you may have noticed something peculiar: Friendship Chains. They’re a fun way to experience such incredible longevity. But you only have a certain amount of time in the Yu-Gi-Oh Master Duel event to earn Friendship Chains.
All About Friendship Chains in Master Duel
In Master Duel, it pays to complete the Friendship Chain collection before the end of the event. So, let’s get to earning. There are only four types of Chains to earn too:

Yu-Gi-Oh Master Duel BanlistHow To Earn Friendship Chains
There are two ways you can earn Friendship Chains in Master Duel:
- Visit Tokyo Dome
- Duel
If you can, you can take a trip to the Tokyo Dome in person and scan the 2D barcode to launch the app. However, that isn’t a feat everyone can accomplish. Thankfully, most of us will probably focus on the second option: dueling. All you need to do is duel as you regularly would. As long as you duel someone with Friendship or a Friendship Chain, you’ll earn one, win or lose, as long as you finish the match. Which one you get is up in the air, but it’s possible to round out the collection as long as you keep dueling.
Friendship Chain Rewards in Master Duel
You’re rewarded each time you receive a new type of Chain. There’s even a reward for holding the full collection. Everything is laid out in the table below:
Friendship Requirement | Reward |
---|---|
First Friendship Chain type | The Bond of Duelists (Title) |
Second Friendship Chain type | The Legend of Duelist QUARTER CENTURY (Icon) |
Third Friendship Chain type | The Legend of Duelist QUARTER CENTURY Frame (Icon Frame) |
Fourth Friendship Chain type | Magicians of Bonds and Unity (Card Case) |
Full Collection | Magicians of Bonds and Unity (Royal Finish) |
