At first glance, firearms have a clear advantage over medieval swords in the high-tech era but do not rush to conclusions. After all, a katana or blade will be much more convenient if you have to go through a stealth mission or fight in close combat. However, one of the most coveted melee weapons is Gwynbleidd, one of the canonical swords of the Geralt of Rivia. As a tier 5 weapon, the Witcher Sword has an excellent critical hits bonus, high damage, and looks cool. Unfortunately, the method of obtaining Gwynbleidd in Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty may upset some players, but we are here to tell you about it.
Where To Find Gwynbleidd in Cyberpunk 2077
First, it is worth noting that Gwynbleidd is a unique item that cannot be found or purchased in the Cyberpunk 2077 or received as a reward for completing a mission. The only way to get this weapon is as a reward for purchasing the Phantom Liberty DLC, but that’s not the end. After all, you also must buy The Witcher 3 and GWENT: The Witcher Card Game on your GOG account. If you’re not a fantasy fan, you won’t have to play these games, but you will still need to buy them and add them to your collection.
As we said, the main requirement to get Gwynbleidd is to have the Phantom Liberty DLC and two The Witcher games on your GOG account. But if you bought any of these games on other platforms, you only need to link your accounts to a GOG account, and that will be enough.
Once you have completed the prerequisites, you only need to go to the My Rewards menu in your GOG account and accept all the rewards. In addition to the Witcher Sword, you will also receive a Scorch (Tech Pistol) and a couple of cosmetic items. Finally, go into the game and try out your newly acquired weapon. Head to V’s Apartment and look at the wall of your stash. You will see a shiny sword that perfectly chopped monsters in the Witcher world, and now it will kill your enemies in Night City.
