And this applies to both weapons with armor and food. After all, despite all his skills, Link needs to eat to restore health or get additional buffs. One such product is Hearty Truffles, which you can cook to get extra HP Hearts. This effect is extremely useful during fighting bosses, so we are here to help you and tell you how to get Hearty Truffles in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.

Where To Find Hearty Truffles in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom

Hearty Truffle prefers humid climates and dark locations. So the best solution would be to look for it in caves, gorges, or swampy areas. In addition, Hearty Truffles is found only in the Hyrule Surface area. One of the first places with Hearty Truffles is the ruins west of Lookout Landing in the Central Hyrule area. But as we said, this product is found throughout the Hyrule Surface from Hebra Mountains and East Necluda.

The grayish-brown coloring of this product and the unremarkable rounded shape make the Hearty Truffle very inconspicuous. So if you need more than a couple of these foods, the search can protract for a long. On the other hand, there is a more efficient way to farm this material.

Farming Hearty Truffles

  • Find at least one Hearty Truffle, collect it, and throw it on the ground.
  • Equip the Camera by pressing the L key and selecting the appropriate option.
  • Point the Camera at the Hearty Truffle, wait until the name of this product appears on the screen, and take a photo.
  • After that, Hearty Truffle will automatically appear in your Compendium.
  • Open the in-game map, press Y to open the Compendium, and select Hearty Truffle from the list. By doing this, the game will tell you the location of the nearest Hearty Truffles, after which you can collect as many as you need.

How To Use Hearty Truffles in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom

After collecting some Hearty Truffles, you can eat them to restore 2 HP hearts. But eating this product raw is not a good idea. It is much more efficient to cook several meals from it.

Cooked Hearty Truffles restore a bit more HP, but more importantly, you’ll get a bonus temporary HP heart. The same goes for meals. For example, you can cook Hearty Meat and Mushroom Skewer to recover full health and get a +1 bonus heart. But you can get more bonus hearts if you add more than one Hearty Truffles to the recipe.

Tears of the Kingdom is available on Nintendo Switch.
