If you’ve ever played through the Hoenn region of Pokemon games, then the elusive Milotic was probably on your radar at some point. With the return of the Pokemon inย Pokemon Scarlet and Violet The Teal Mask, you can add one to your team. Milotic is still considered to be a little difficult to actually get, so we wrote out a guide to show you how to get Milotic in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet The Teal Mask.

You can’t necessarily catch a Milotic in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet The Teal Mask, but you can still get one. You will need to find a Feebas first within the Crystal Pool that is located within Oni Mountain. Once you’ve got one, you will need to trade it with someone all while it is holding a Prism Scale. Once the other person in the trade receives the Feebas, they will immediately get the cutscene in which it evolves into Milotic. If you don’t have a Prism Scale on you, we also wrote out everywhere you can find one in order to execute this evolution.

Where To Find A Prism Scale

One of the only places where you can find the Prism Scale in Kitakami is over on the east side of Fellhorn Gorge. It is a dropped item that has the ability to respawn again if you come back at a later point and check. The area in which we were able to locate the Prism Scale is outlined on the map above.

Milotic Type, Abilities, and Type Effectiveness

If you are interested in Milotic’s potential abilities and its type, we have all of that down below:

  • Type:
    • Water.
  • Abilities:
    • Marvel Scale: This ability increases the Pokemon’s Defense by a total of 50% more whenever they are affected by a status condition.
    • Competitive: You can increase the user Pokemon’s Special Attack by two stages any time their stats get lowered for the first time in a battle.
    • Cute Charm (Hidden): This ability has a 30% chance of making the opponent’s Pokemon completely infatuated with yours if your Pokemon makes direct contact with the other.
