Interacting with the lanterns will cause an animation of the appearance of even more butterflies that will fly toward the enemy who took the player’s life. You just need to kill him, after which you will receive several Plucked Eyeballs.
These lanterns appear anywhere in the world, but mostly in places where players die most often. First, you can check the locations where you died most often. There is a high probability that other players lost their lives in the same places which will lead to lanterns spawning. On the other hand, you can visit places where the enemy is lurking around the corner. Even if you defeated this monster, others have probably died in these places more than once.
