Diablo 3 Primordial Ashes: How To Farm Quickly
So far, the only known source of Primordial Ashes is salvaging rare Primal Ancient items. To efficiently farm Primordial Ashes, it’s important to understand some facts about Primal Ancient items:
- Primal Ancient items have a distinct red beam and glow when they drop.
- They can drop from any source of Legendary items in the game, including Horadric Caches, Kadala, and Kanai’s Cube, but only after successfully completing at least a level 70 Greater Rift solo.
- Primal Ancients are much rarer than Ancient items, which are in turn much rarer than normal Legendary items. To put it into perspective, each Legendary drop after completing a level 70 Solo Greater Rift has a 10% chance to be an Ancient, and each Ancient has a 2.5% chance to be a Primal. This means that, on average, only 1 in 400 Legendary drops will be a Primal.
