Red Chuchu Jelly, which drops from the Chuchu Monster, has several uses in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. While you can use some of them for making elixirs, you can also use them to upgrade certain types of armor and deal elemental damage. Though, given the potential that Red Chuchu Jelly has when it comes to crafting, it’s no surprise that it’s a highly-desired resource. Keep reading to learn how to get Red Chuchu Jelly in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom.

Red Chuchu Jelly is the only drop you get when defeating a specific Chuchu monster in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom. Red Chuchu monsters can be found virtually anywhere around Hyrule. The picture above shows this monster near the Eldin Canyon Skyview Tower. Though, we’ve also discovered them in many other locations spanning across Hyrule. They tend to stick to warmer climates.

Defeating Chuchu monsters is relatively easy in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom, making it a quick process to collect Jelly. Since Chuchus explode when they die, the best way to take them down is with a bow and arrow. Aim at them from a distance and shoot at them. Keep in mind that a basic arrow without anything fused to it will work well for this task. There is no need to waste your precious materials and resources.

There is one additional way to obtain Red Chuchu Jelly. Rather than searching for Red Chuchu monsters, you can collect them from plain Chuchu monsters. These Chuchus will appear blue rather than red. However, in order to get them to drop a different type of Chuchu Jelly, you must defeat them with an elementally charged weapon. Fire weapons will make it drop Red Chuchu Jelly, while a lightning weapon will cause it to drop Yellow Chuchu Jelly, and an ice weapon will make it drop White Chuchu Jelly.

How to Use Red Chuchu Jelly

To use Chuchu Jelly in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom, you have to cook them into elixirs. For the most part, this means cooking a small creature along with your Red Chuchu Jelly. The more Chuchu Jelly you use, the stronger the effect with me of the elixir.

You can also use Red Chuchu Jelly to upgrade the Snowquill armor pieces. This gives the gear additional Armor.

This is everything you need to know to get and use Red Chuchu Jelly in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom.

Jordan is an experienced fantasy writer who spends hours behind her laptop, and lost in the pages of a book. She strives to be a successful gaming blogger, and has no complaint about the hours of game time she used to increase her knowledge of all things “geek”. She primarily writes gaming articles and fantasy novels. Ark: Survival Evolved is a favorite, along with Diablo 3, Warframe and Minecraft lately, though you can’t forget the good old Magic the Gathering card game! Writing about games truly gives her joy as it gives her another perspective to look at games from, a reason to really look into the mechanics of the game.
