How to get Research Parts in Dredge

In Dredge, research parts are a vital resource since you must continually upgrade your boat to maximize your fishing yield with improvements like faster speed and additional rod varieties. In this guide, we will provide a brief overview of how to get Research Parts in Dredge.

  • Salvage items

Salvaging is a process of breaking down unwanted items into their component parts. In order to salvage an item, players must go to a crafting station and select the Salvage tab. From there, they can drag and drop the item they wish to salvage into the slot provided. Therefore, salvaging items will yield a variety of components, including Research Parts. The number of Research Parts obtained will depend on the rarity and level of the item being salvaged. Higher-level and rarer items will yield more Research Parts.

  • Complete events

Events in Dredge are short-term objectives that reward players with various items upon completion. Some events may reward players with Research Parts. However, to participate in events, players must be in a map area where an event is currently active. In order to find events, players can open their map and look for areas marked with a star icon. These indicate the location of an active event.

  • Purchase from merchants

Merchants are located throughout the game world and offer a variety of items and services in exchange for gold, gems, or other currency. To find a merchant, players can open their map and look for areas marked with a merchant icon. However, Upon approaching a merchant, players can interact with them to view their wares and make purchases.

Additionally, the cost of Research Parts from merchants will vary depending on the merchant and the quantity being purchased. Generally, the cost will be higher than obtaining them through salvaging or events, but purchasing them can be a quick way to obtain the necessary components for crafting.

  • Participate in PvP

Players can obtain Research Parts by participating in PvP matches. PvP matches pit players against each other in a variety of game modes, including Deathmatch and Capture the Flag. Therefore, the amount of Research Parts obtained will depend on the player’s performance in the match.

  • Complete achievements

Achievements in Dredge are long-term objectives that reward players with various items upon completion. Some achievements may reward players with Research Parts. To view available achievements, players can open their achievements menu.

Remember that combining all  methods of obtaining Research Components will allow you to unlock upgrades more quickly. Additionally, a lot of Research Parts will be found if you don’t disregard any methods.
