How To Get Resin in Return to Moria

Although Resin is petrified, you can still use it.

Even though many of the mechanics and crafting recipes in Return to Moria are similar to what we have seen in other games, it has something to surprise you. After all, sometimes the game takes an ambiguous approach to the issue of resource extraction, offering such things as extracting Ubasam Wood from mushroom-like plants. Resin was no exception, and instead of the usual extraction of this material from wood, it is more of a fossil in Return to Moria. However, finding and mining this ore is hard, so we are here to help you.

Where To Find Resin in Return to Moria

First of all, it’s worth noting that Resin is not found in locations such as the Elven Quarter or Western Halls, so you will have to go to The Lower Deeps area and search the local caves to mine this material in Return to Moria. Your goal is bright red ore without stone impurities, similar to solidified lava. You can find it in the walls of deep caves and notice it by its shine, similar to a glow.

It is worth noting that there are still some restrictions that can interfere with your farming. Firstly, all Return to Moria game areas are procedurally generated. Therefore, we cannot give the exact coordinates of the Resin deposits. And the low probability of spawning this material will make your search even more time-consuming. However, this is only time because the main requirement for Resin mining is to have at least a Tier 3 pickaxe. For example, once you reach the Lower Deeps, you gain access to Ubasam Wood and can craft a First Age Pickaxe using the following materials:

  • Three Steel Ingots
  • Black Diamond
  • Ubasam Wood

Once you have a suitable pickaxe, head to the Resin deposits and mine them like any other ore. You can stack up this material to 30 units in one slot in your inventory and can be used in many ways. For example, you can use Resin to build stations such as Roasting Pit, Tiled Hearth, or Alchemical Still. Or you can use it to recycle Hide Scraps into Hide on the Loom.

To sum it up, here’s what you need to know about how to get Resin in Return to Moria:

  • Head to The Lower Deeps.
  • Find deposits that look like solidified lava.
  • Use First Age Pickaxe or better to mine this material.
