Want to know how to get Smiting Aspect in Diablo 4? Regardless of your character class, creating the perfect build is one of the essential steps before post-story content. And although the choice of skills and equipment is the basis of any character build, unique aspects will help diversify your gameplay and compensate for your weaknesses. One of the relatively powerful aspects available to all classes is the Smiting Aspect, which you can use to increase your Critical Strike Chance and Crowd Control Duration. And if that’s what you’re looking for, we’re here to show you how to get Smiting Aspect in Diablo 4.

Where To Find Smiting Aspect in Diablo 4

Smiting Aspect is a legendary offensive-type aspect available to all classes. And you can put it on 1H and 2H Weapons, Gloves, Rings, and Amulets. Due to Smiting Aspect, you have a 10-20% increased Critical Strike Chance against Injured enemies (if the enemy is below 35% HP). In addition, while you are Healthy (80% or more HP), you gain 20- 40% increased Crowd Control Duration. These effects allow you to get pretty powerful buffs without the complex requirements. So this aspect can be helpful to any class at different stages of the gameplay.

Unfortunately, due to the rather powerful effect of this aspect, you cannot unlock it in your Codex of Power. So the only way to get Smiting Aspect in Diablo 4 is to extract it from legendary items by visiting Occultist. You can find this NPC in big cities, so it’s not a problem. And once you find it, pay to extract and imprint Smiting Aspect on your item.

It is worth noting that this method is one-time, unlike the Codex of Power. So you will have to look for new legendary items to imprint this aspect on other pieces of your equipment. In addition, the legendary item that contained the aspect originally will be destroyed during the extraction process.

If you do not know how to get legendary items, find it relatively easy. You can fight World Bosses, participate in events and PVP, or explore dungeons. All these ways can reward you with a legendary item with Smiting Aspect if you’re lucky. But we advise you to unlock World Tier 3 as soon as possible to increase the chances of a legendary drop. Alternatively, you can visit the Purveyor of Curiosities and purchase legendary items from him with Murmuring Obols.

Diablo 4 is available on PC, PlayStation, and Xbox.
