Players want to know how to receive the Songbirds weapon in Armored Core 6: Fires of Rubicon. Songbirds are a powerful weapon that players can use to decimate their enemies. You can customize your own mecha in Armored Core 6, equipping it with the best limbs, armor, and weapons. Certain mecha builds work best in specific missions or against particular enemies. Songbirds is a potent weapon that can be useful against some of the more challenging enemies in the game, including the Sea Spider Boss. That said, Songbirds can work well with various mecha builds in Armored Core 6.

You can purchase Songbirds at the Parts Shop in Armored Core 6. However, the weapon will not be available at the store at the start. Songbirds will appear in the shop at the beginning of Chapter 3. The third chapter is about when more high-quality equipment becomes available to you. Songbirds can be bought for COAM 182,000 at the Parts Shop, so make sure you have enough saved by Chapter 3.

Best Builds With Songbirds

Songbirds is a Grenade Cannon for your Back Unit parts in Armored Core 6. Back Units are parts attached to the shoulders of your mecha. Back Units don’t act like any of your limbs. These parts add more supplementary firepower or defensive capabilities. Songbirds can launch grenades from either your R-Back Unit or L-Back Unit placement.

The full part specs for Songbirds are:

  • Attack Power – 754×2
  • Impact – 745×2
  • Total Rounds – 5500
  • EN Load – 285
  • Blast Radius – 60
  • Direct Hit Adjustment – 140
  • Recoil – 60
  • Effective Range – 625
  • Total Rounds – 42
  • Reload Time – 6.4

Songbirds work best in offensive builds. The Grenade Cannon weapon works great for both heavy and agile mechas. Grenade Cannons also work well as a backup weapon, often pushing away opponents from a distance.

While tank builds don’t often offer the best agility or maneuverability, the Songbirds work best when built for a tank mecha. If you like playing with tank legs, then you need to have the Songbirds in your arsenal. The best tank legs we recommend are the LG-022T Bornemissza or EL-T1-11 Fortaleza.

The best arsenals for the Arm Units and remaining Back Unit parts are Gatling Gun, Shotgun, and another Grenade Cannon or Vertical Missile Launcher. For FCS, we recommend the FC-008 Talbot or the FC-006 Abbot. For the Generator, we recommend the DF-GN-06 Ming Tang or the VP-20S.

Below is our recommended Songbirds build in Armored Core 6:

  • Legs – LG-022T Bornemissza
  • Right Arm Unit – DF-GA-08 HU-BEN (Gattling Gun)
  • Left Arm Unit – SG-027 Zimmerman (Shotgun)
  • Right Back Unit – Songbirds (Grenade Cannon)
  • Left Back Unit – BML-G1/P03VTC-08 ( Vertical Missile Launcher)
  • FCS – FC-008 Talbot
  • Generator – DF-GN-06 Ming-Tang
