Need to know how to get Stambulbs in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom? The resource is debatably one of the most underrated, as it is responsible for giving Link additional stamina. As a result, those who eat its meals will have an easier time running from dangerous bosses and climbing tall mountains. A Stambulb can even provide weapons some extra strength. Albeit, there are just a few places you should go looking for Stambulbs. This guide will explain how to get Stambulbs and what they do in Tears of the Kingdom.

Truthfully, you can get Stambulbs in Tears of the Kingdom within almost every forest on the surface map—but you won’t find very many in each. As marked above by stamps, Stambulbs are most abundant on Great Sky Island. There are more than a dozen to pick up, with a majority near the ponds south of the Ukouh Shrine. If you desire more, you can also have Link rest a full day so they can spawn in the same areas again.

Alternatively, there are plenty of Stambulb locations on South Hyrule Sky’s islands, which are just west of Great Sky Island. Each of the land masses holds at least two Stambulbs, as most sit near their bodies of water. Keep in mind, you will need to activate and fly from the Hyrule Field Skyview Tower to reach South Hyrule Sky. Once you have made it to one of these locations, Stambulbs should appear as flowers with orange petals and green stems.

Despite its lackluster appearance, there are several things Link can do with a Stambulb. Most importantly, the material is used to cook a collection of meals that refill Link’s stamina wheel. For instance, it is included in recipes for Energizing Cooked Stambulb, Buttered Stambulb, and Fragrant Seafood Stew. Thus, if you need more stamina to climb the skyscraping mountain ahead or run from overpowered beasts, we highly recommend gobbling up one of these entrees. However, on its own, an uncooked Stambulb can be eaten to only restore half a heart.

A Stambulb may be useful for Hyrule chefs, but the same cannot be said for those in combat. When attached to a weapon or shield using Fuse, the plant only tacks on an extra 1+ strength, so it likely won’t impact enemies by any means. That said, any Stambulbs fused to an arrow will not be destroyed after it is fired.
