First of all, it is worth noting that Staminoka Bass is nothing more than a rare version of Hyrule Bass, so this type of fish is found in almost all reservoirs of western and central Hyrule. You can find Staminoka Bass in both deep rivers and shallow lakes. But you will probably need time to search, as this species is rare in most waters.

On the other hand, there are a couple of locations where you can catch Staminoka Bass with the highest chance. If you want to complete Genli’s Home Cooking quest, you should stay at Rito Village. You can explore the small melted lakes in the sunny village glades and most likely catch some fish.

If you want to catch Staminoka Bass for cooking, we advise you to go to the southeastern part of Central Hyrule. Visit the Riverside Stable and check out the shallow water near the piers. There are a lot of fish here, so you will quickly catch some Staminoka Bass. Look for red-striped fish with green fins to get what you need.

After catching a few Staminoka Bass, you can eat them to restore 1 HP heart, but this is not profitable. It’s best to use Staminoka Bass for cooking to restore more HP and stamina.

In addition, you can give this fish to Genli during the side quest. As a reward, you will receive a Biting Simmered Fruit recipe (restores two and a half hearts of HP and gives the Cold Weather Attack effect for 5 minutes).

Finally, don’t forget to take a photo of Staminoka Bass to add it to your Compendium. Otherwise, you must buy this fish photo from Old Man Robbie in Hateno Village later.
