If you’ve ventured into the mid-zone of Pacific Drive, you might’ve seen that Swamp Coral is one of the key materials you’ll need to progress. This reagent is necessary to build some of your car’s best upgrades to venture further into the Exclusion Zone. However, since things get dangerous the deeper you explore, grabbing all resources might be a bit dangerous. Worry not, though, because there is an easy way to spot this elusive material while exploring the swamp biomes of the game.

Where To Find Swamp Coral in Pacific Drive

If you want to find Swamp Coral in Pacific Drive, you must wait until you reach the mid-zone, which unlocks the Swamp biomes. Initially, you’ll only have access to Forest biomes that provide you with enough materials for the early hours. However, if you want to increase your inventory size or craft certain protective outfits, finding Swamp Coral is a must. To find it, follow these steps:

  1. Choose any route with the Swamp Biome.
  2. When you arrive, open your map and locate any area with water. You can identify these areas by the blue circle around them.
  3. If you drive toward them, there’s a high chance you’ll find a Reef Nest, which is the natural structure that contains Swamp Coral.
  4. To harvest Swamp Coral, you must bring a Vacuum. If possible, bring the Thermal Vacuum, as it is the best to harvest this resource.

How To Use Swamp Coral

You can use Swamp Coral for many things in Pacific Drive. The most common ones are locker and inventory upgrades. The first upgrade tiers are cheap, but as you progress through the Fabricator tree, you’ll see certain improvements that will need rare materials, such as the aforementioned one.

While the swamps are dangerous, they are a great place to gather some rare resources, like Marsh Eggs. These are great if you want to craft better tools and even car parts. So, if possible, get some off-road tires first and better panels and doors to keep your car safe from harm. You’ll likely encounter more dangerous anomalies, so be sure to pack everything before hitting these wet roads.
