From Valheim to Nightingale, upgrading your gear is an essential part of survival-crafting games. You’ll need to get T1 Essence if you want to jump from Common to Uncommon gear in Nightingale, making this a valuable early-game resource. Essence Dust is more than just currency: it’s also an ingredient for crafting Enchantments and Infusions. Uncommon gear has all-around better stats than Common stuff, including a bump to weapon damage that can make a big difference in close fights. You won’t have to worry about this Essence right away, but it’s a bridge you’ll have to cross in time. Here’s how to get T1 Essence in Nightingale.
Nightingale T1 Essence Guide
Upgrading your gear is essential for survival, especially on the game’s harder difficulties. The good news is there are a few ways to get T1 Essence in Nightingale. The bad news is some are more reliable than others. Not every Realm produces T1 Essence. To find it you’ll need to visit Realms with the Antiquarian, Astrolabe, or Provisioner Major Realm Cards. Once you’re there, there are two many ways to get T1 Essence. The first is random drops. You can get small amounts of T1 Essence from killing mobs and even harvesting plants. That’s great because you’d be doing that anyway, but it’s a slow and unreliable method
The second main way to get T1 Essence is by completing special tasks at POIs. The Fae Tower is the best early-game instance. It not only rewards you with significant amounts of Essence but also contains a Realm Card machine. Using a Treasure Realm Card at the machine will increase the drop rate of T1 Essence and make farming much easier. Completing Bastille puzzles, Defend assignments, Occupations, and other POI quests is another great method to acquiring Essence. To summarize, here’s how you can get T1 Essence in Nightingale:
- Receive it as a random drop from killing enemies and harvesting resources
- Complete Fae Towers
- Complete missions at other POIs
Nightingale is available for PC in early access.
