How To Get the Aeonian Alpha-Betta Exotic Fish in Destiny 2

Getting the Aeonian Alpha-Betta Exotic Fish is the latest endeavor that most Destiny 2 players have to tackle in Season 21. Catching this third Exotic Fish will let you unlock a mission to get the Wicked Implement Scout Rifle. Even so, to catch this unique fish, you’ll need the right approach and a sprinkle of luck as well. Here’s how you can find and get the elusive fish during Season of the Deep.

Destiny 2: Where Can You Get the Aeonian Alpha-Betta Exotic Fish?

In Destiny 2 Season 21, the Aeonian Alpha-Betta Exotic Fish can be caught in the Outskirts area of EDZ. Considering it is an exotic drop, fishing it may require some luck to obtain. Nevertheless, there are a few ways to increase your chances of catching it:

The Focused Fishing meter significantly improves your odds of catching Aeonian Alpha-Betta Exotic Fish in Destiny 2.
Bring a lot of Bait to be able to fish for a long time and fill the meter.
Performing Perfect Catch will also increase the meter faster for you and other players in the area.
Lastly, during Bungie Day Celebration on July 7th, the drop rate of all three Exotic Fishes will be increased:
- Whispering Mothcarp: Misama Region, Throne World.
- Vexing Placoderm: The Cistern, Nessus.

Once you’ve caught the Aeonian Alpha-Betta in Destiny 2, head to the H.E.L.M., and dunk it in the Aquarium. Doing so will reward you with the Broken Blade of Cunning and a random Exotic Engram. The Blade of Cunning is the third and last part of a hidden quest in Destiny 2 Deep Dive Activity. Collecting and offering them to the Deep Dive statues should bring you one step closer to obtaining the Wicked Implement weapon.

After obtaining the Broken Blade of Cunning, enter a Deep Dive and complete the First Encounter. Progress through the huge floor fan and coral caves until you reach the shelf overlooking a coral-filled area. Don’t jump down, though; instead, walk along the shelf. You will eventually stumble upon the third Hive Thrall statue. Offer your Broken Blade of Cunning and listen to Xivu Arath’s dialogue.

Afterward, you will unlock an Exotic Quest that has to be completed within the time limit. Finishing this quest will let you acquire the Scout Rifle. And that’s how you can get and use Aeonian Alpha-Betta Exotic Fish in Destiny 2.
