Pokémon Scarlet & Violet is the latest installment of the Pokémon series, and it comes with new powerful items that change how certain evolution methods work. One such item is the Auspicious Armor, which you’ll need to evolve the newly introduced Charcadet. If you want to know how to obtain it, we’ll tell you where to get the Auspicious Armor in Pokémon Scarlet & Violet.

(Updated on August 22, 2024 – Fact-checked, fixed inconsistencies, and updated links).

What is Auspicious Armor?

The Auspicious Armor is a Unique Item that can evolve Charcadet into Armarouge. While it might not be your top priority, getting this item early will make a difference. Charcadet has poor stats and doesn’t do too well during fights. However, any of its evolutions are much better, and Armarouge gets the Psychic type when it evolves, which never hurts having in your team.

How to get Auspicious Armor in Pokémon Scarlet & Violet?

Auspicious Armor in Pokémon Scarlet & Violet?

You can get Auspicious Armor in Pokémon Scarlet & Violet from an NPC standing near the Fountain at  Zapapico. You need to give him 10 Bronzor fragments in exchange for the Auspicious Armor. Bronzor fragments can be found by defeating wild Bronzor in the Zapapico region.

Currently, you can only use Auspicious Armor to evolve Charcadet, and it doesn’t have any other function aside from that one. Compared to other evolution methods, this one is pretty easy, and you only need to battle a few Bronzor to get the items.

If you want to speed things up, head to West Province (Area One) to start fighting Bronzor. The easiest way to obtain Bronzor Fragments is by using the game’s auto-battle feature. Assuming your Pokemon are at low levels, ensure you have a Fire-type Pokemon in your lineup before sending them out. Bronzor is weak in Fighting and Fire, with the latter being the best option. If you picked Fuecoco as your starter Pokemon, you should be good to go.
