The Cactus Flower in My Time at Sandrock is difficult to obtain. You must find a proper location that won’t trigger the town’s alert against you. Once you find the area, you must look for the correct tree type to harvest, or you will end up wasting time. Even if you do find the right tree, it takes multiple tries. But after you become familiar with the game, it’s worth getting the Flower for medicinal purposes.
Cactus Flower Locations in My Time at Sandrock
(Updated on August 9, 2024 – updated links and formatting)
You can find Cactus Flowers from the Cactus Flower Tree near the Eufaula Desert, but you can’t cut down any tree. Cutting down a tree too close to Sandrock Town will summon Burgess to give you a warning or penalty. Disregarding the warning leads to further penalties, which hinder your progress, and you must go further out.
Fortunately, going directly south of Sandrock on the map leads to the outskirts of the Eufaula Desert. If you go down a slope or can’t see the town from your position, you are safe from the town penalty. When you find a Cactus Flower Tree, cut it down instead of kicking it to obtain the Cactus Flower.
Make sure you aren’t cutting down Cactus Trees that look similar, but don’t drop Cactus Flowers. Examine the tree’s name before cutting it down to save time and stamina. The flowers are not guaranteed to drop, and you may have to cut down several trees before you find one.
Here’s a short recap of the process:
- Head outside Sandrock Town to the edges of Eufaula Desert
- Look for Cactus Flower Trees while avoiding regular Cactus Trees
- Cut down multiple Cactus Flower Trees to obtain a few Cactus Flowers
