The FFXIV 6.25 update came with a lot of new things to do. One of those is the new dungeon which comes with three difficulties. Tackling said difficulties will net you some currency you can exchange for different items. One of the new ones is the FFXIV Noir Outfit which is perfect for those characters looking for a new slick look. Thankfully, taking on the new FFXIV Variant dungeon isn’t hard, as it can be done solo. So, if you want to learn how to get this new outfit, rest easy knowing that farming isn’t complicated.

How to obtain the new FFXIV Noir Outfit

Before you get a look at the outfit, you’ll need to do a few steps. If you’re in Old Sharlyan, you will see a new quest called “A Key to the Past,” which requires a Level 90 job to do. You’ll find the quest at coordinates X: 12 and Y: 13,5. Plus, you have to finish the Endwalker Main Scenario first. If you’ve done these steps, you’ll be able to follow the short quest leading to unlocking the FFXIV Variant dungeon. Taking on the dungeon solo will take about 20-30 minutes, depending on how you handle the mechanics. You’ll notice that once you take down some bosses, you’ll get a new currency called “Sil’dihn Potsherds.”

To get the new FFXIV Noir outfit, the above currency is what you’ll need. Finishing the new FFXIV Variant dungeon will give you 3-4 Potsherds. You will need to farm this new place to get all the pieces of the outfit. The cost of each piece is as follows:

  • Noir Hat: 15 Potsherds
  • Noir Loncoat: 27 Potsherds
  • Noir Gloves: 9 Potsherds
  • Noir Slacks: 12 Potsherds
  • Noir Shoes: 9 Potsherds

Some players claim that getting the complete outfit will take a bit more than 20 runs of the new FFXIV Variant dungeon. The good news is that you might want to do that either way because the dungeon has different story paths. Or rather, you need to follow different steps to unlock all the lore behind it. So, besides getting the FFXIV Noir outfit, you might want to do the dungeon to learn more about what this new content brings. So, gather 3 players or brave the new dungeon yourself. Also, if you want the new relic weapons, remember you must complete all of Hildibrand’s quests in the game. You can play this content by buying the full game and its expansions available for PC, PS4, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S.
