Do you want to know how to get the Skeleton Key in Warzone 2 DMZ? Warzone 2 DMZ Season 3 has just launched, and with it, a number of changes. One of the new additions to the game is the Barter System and Skeleton Key.

This is a pretty useful item and will change how players approach the looting boxes and the entire mechanic. You will find locked rooms and boxes scattered around Al Mazrah and Ashika Island, for which to open, you will need a Skeleton Key. This guide will show you how to get the Skeleton Key in Warzone 2 DMZ.

How to Obtain the Skeleton Key

To get the Skeleton Key in Warzone 2 DMZ, players need to get a hold of the crafting recipe and then use it at the newly installed Barter System in the game. The recipe for the Skeleton Key can be obtained from the enemies or at looting locations throughout the map. Before using the recipe, you need one GPU to use the Barter System to craft the key.

You can find the GPU in computers in any POI that has offices, such as Post Office, Police Headquarters, and the C7 media buildings, among others.

Now once you have a GPU, you need these items to craft the Skeleton Key in Warzone 2 DMZ:

  • x1 Video Cassette Record
  • x1 Vintage Wine
  • x1 Encrypted Hard Drive

When you get these items, go to Buy Stations on Ashika Island or Al Mazrah. Once at the Buy Station, find the ‘Barter’ tab. This will showcase the items you need to craft the Skeleton Key. If you have collected them all, you can exchange them for the Skeleton Key in Warzone 2 DMZ.

Once you get the Skeleton Key, you can access almost all locked locations on Ashika Island and Al Mazrah. The only thing this key can’t unlock is the infamous Building 21. The Skeleton Key substitutes Keycards and other Keys in the game except for the Building 21 Access Key.

The key is valuable as it is a real-time-saver, as players won’t need to look for every key and keycard. However, players need to use it wisely since it will disappear from the inventory when used.

Warzone 2 DMZ is available for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S.
