Unmaker Harvesting Tool Preview in Fortnite
This article is over 2 years old and may contain outdated information.

One of the featured rewards of Fortnite‘s Fortnitemares Halloween Event for 2022 is the Living Metal Set, a three-piece collection of cosmetics that include the Everything’s End Glider, Chrome Cage Back Bling, and Unmaker Pickaxe. Each of these items is depicted by a shiny metallic appearance that looks both “metal” and spooky, two characteristics perfect for the season. While which one will be the most sought-after will depend on the community’s tastes, there is no doubt that the battleaxe-style Unmaker looks incredibly cool to wield as a Harvesting Tool. Continue reading to learn how to unlock this new Pickaxe skin in Fortnite Chapter 3: Season 4.

Update August 26, 2024: The Fortnitemares quests are no longer available in Fortnite.

Unlocking the Unmaker Pickaxe in Fortnite

Prerequisite for Unlocking the Unmaker Pickaxe in Fortnite

To unlock the Unmaker Pickaxe in Fortnite, players must complete 25 Fortnitemares Quests before Tuesday, November 1, 2022, at 2 AM ET. Fans will be given two Fortnitemares each day, and these challenges will remain available until after Halloween has ended.

As of October 19, 2022, it is currently impossible to unlock the Unmaker Harvesting Tool in Fortnite because only two Fortnitemares Quests have been released. These tasks involve players dancing on Alteration Alters and using their Wolfscent ability to hunt down opponents. With the theme revolving around Halloween, future quests will likely have participants complete activities related to event-exclusive objects like the Alteration Alters. Therefore, players are encouraged to find out how to get Unvaulted items such as the Pumpkin Launcher and Candy. Horde Rush is also back until November 15, giving players the opportunity to team up with friends to survive the onslaught of spooky monsters. However, there is no indication that this mode will include tasks for Fortnitemares.

Completing the 25 Fortnitemares Quests in Fortnite could take up to several hours, depending on if players can do each task without obstruction. Some fans will probably wait until all the challenges are available so they can tackle them all in a single sitting. On the other hand, those with less time on their hands are encouraged to check into the game after the daily reset to see what new Fortnitemares tasks are available. With this approach, unlocking the Unmaker Pickaxe in Fortnite will be a gradually smooth and stress-free process.

Fortnite is available for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch.
