In Hello Kitty Island Adventure you play as your own little animal friend and hang out with Hello Kitty and her friends on a tropical island filled with adventure. There are many objects you can find and craft, which can then be gifted to island citizens. This helps build up your friendship meter and unlock new quests. The Volcanic Guitar is part of Retsuko’s gift guide. The Volcanic Guitar is the three-heart gift to give Retsuko the highest level a gift can be. Three heart gifts reward you the most friendship points.
Where to Get the Volcanic Guitar in Hello Kitty Island Adventure
Before you can go out and get the Volcanic Guitar in Hello Kitty Island Adventure, you first need to learn how to craft a fishing rod and fish. You discover how to fish from the Keep It Reel quest from Badtz-Maru on the docks. The mission becomes available when you reach friendship level 3 with Badtz.
Once you’ve learned how to craft a rod and know how to fish, you must head up Mount Hothead. Enter the mountain through the Caldera entrance from the north section. Past the entranceway, take a right, and climb up the wall. Once you’ve reached a cliff with a tiny lava pool, jump off and float southeast with your balloons. Latch onto the walls when you hit the southeast wall and climb up again. When you reach above and can walk, follow the path leading south.
You will soon come across a river of lava. Get close to the river and pull out your fishing rod. Throw your lure out into the lava and wait. Eventually, a fish’s shadow will appear in the lava and grab onto your bait.

A bar will pop above your lure when you enter the fishing mini-game. It’s your job to keep the arrow pointing down on the green section. The down arrow on the bar will swing left or right, depending on what direction the fish is pulling from. Tap on the arrows pointing left and right on your screen to pull the fish back into the green part. If you successfully pull up the fish, you will gain a Tiny Magma Clamfish and one Volcanic Guitar.
Where to Give Retsuko the Volcanic Guitar in Hello Kitty Island Adventure
You can now gift the Volcanic Guitar as part of Retsuko’s gift guide in Hello Kitty Island Adventure. Retsuko is the red banda waiting on the lower northwest end of Mount Hothead. She has an alternate persona known as Aggretsuko. Gifting her the guitar will dramatically raise your friendship meter.
