Just as Sumeru has the Arana, the magical creatures that stand out in Fontaine are the Melusines. Instead of hiding like the aforementioned ones, the Melusines are part of the Hydro nation’s society and have all kinds of jobs, even as guards, thanks to Neuvillette. These creatures working in Fontaine prefer to live in the city because of the distance. However, the other Melusines of Genshin Impact prefer the deep sea, so they have their home in Merusea Village. Not every human can get to this village because it is underwater and has no direct path. Thankfully, the Traveler is allowed inside, provided you take the time to reach this location.

Genshin Impact: Where is Merusea Village Located?

[Updated on March 13 and added additional detail]

Melusines are aquatic creatures, but they can also live on land and breathe as if they were in water. They inhabit Merusea Village, an area that is semi-immersed in water and has no path to it. You can find it in the Beryl Region, and to access it, you must follow these steps:

1. Use the Statue of the Seven in the Beryl Region to teleport faster.

2. From your spawn point, you will see a small lake. There is a Melusine painter with a World quest by the lake, but don’t worry, you don’t need to do the quest.

3. Dive into the lake and follow the path. At the entrance, there will be a Xenochromatic Crab; use it if you still need the Hydroculus from the cave.

4. The first part of the path will be underwater until you reach a stream. Above it, there will be a clearing to come to the surface.

5. When you come out of the water, there will be a big hole you must glide down to reach the area “A Very Warm Place.” There will be a few enemies in this area.

6. From where you land, go towards the Teleport Waypoint and activate it.

7. Follow the narrow cave behind the Teleport until you find the Melusine called Cosanzeana. Melusines live with humans and are very friendly, so that Cosanzeana will welcome you.

8. Go behind the fence next to Cosanzeana, where the clothes are hanging. That’s the way to the Merusea Village.

Merusea Village is interconnected to other sub-areas of Genshin Impact, so once you discover the village, you can explore the rest of the cave system. Also, some human NPCs and Melusines will have quests related to that area. As always, remember to activate all Teleports to make your underground travels easier and faster.
