To get the Ultima Weapon in Final Fantasy 16, you have to unlock and start New Game+ in the hidden hardest difficulty, Final Fantasy. New Game+ and the hardest difficulty will become available once you cleared either Story Focused or Action Focused mode. Then you will be able to craft the Ultima Weapon at the Cid’s Hideaway’s Forge using three special materials:

  1. Ragnarok x1
  2. Utterance of Creation x1
  3. Ultima Weapon Crafting Material x3

Ultima Weapon has 700 Attack and 700 Will as its stats, outclassing every single weapon in the game.

How to Get Ragnarok in Final Fantasy 16

Ragnarok is one of the most powerful weapons that you can obtain in the base game. You can eventually upgrade it to Gotterdammerung, the strongest weapon in Final Fantasy 16‘s other difficulty modes with 375 Attack and Will.

Obviously, you will need the Gotterdammerung to help you get through the Final Fantasy difficulty before you can get your hands on the Ultima Weapon. This hidden difficulty will raise the level cap to Level 100 and changes the enemy spawns as well as their AIs. Making even normal encounters much harder than usual. As you play through the New Game+ mode, you should get another Ragnarok too, so don’t worry about upgrading it.

In order to get the Ragnarok, you have to complete the four “Blacksmith’s Blues” questline found at the Cid’s Hideaway:
