You can find the Buried Treasure Map inside the chests and as floor loot around the Fortnite OG map. You can find this item at any POI in the game, but in my experience, the best places to find this item are Pirate Camps. After I opened up lots of chests in different locations, however, I wasn’t able to get any Buried Treasure Map from them. So far, I’ve only found 2 and both of them were acquired from a Pirate Camp.

As the name of the item suggests, you’re able to find Buried Treasures in Fortnite OG thanks to this item. With these maps, you can get up to 4 Epic or Legendary weapons for yourself. On the other hand, it will provide you with a decent amount of ammunition, and consumables like Armor or Medkits.

Buried Treasure Maps in Fortnite OG point out a location for where to hold the item in your hands. You should follow the line that the item shows you and reach the ultimate place where you can find the treasure. After reaching the location where you can identify the “X” mark on the ground, you should dig this mark and get your treasure.

In summary, here’s a rundown of what to do:

  • Find a Buried Treasure Map in Fortnite OG, and take it in your hand.
  • You’ll see an indicator showing you the way; follow it and reach the “X” mark.
  • Pull up your Harvester and start hitting the “X” mark until the coral-covered chest is revealed.
  • Then hold your “E” button and open the chest as you do with the regular loot chests.

So, there you have it, folks. That’s everything you need to know about how to get and use Buried Treasure Maps in Fortnite OG. Good luck!
