Nintendo released the Super Mario RPG remake and it has all the classic features of the genre, such as turn-based battles, mini-games, world exploration, a variety of characters, and many items. Speaking of items, while some will help you in battle or increase stats, others have a purpose that is not entirely clear. A good example of such an item is the Nurture Ring in Super Mario RPG since it does not increase stats. But in reality, it is quite useful equipment.

Where To Find Nurture Ring

Luckily, players can get the Nurture Ring in Super Mario RPG fairly easily. You just need to progress until you reach Marrymore. Then, find the Item Shop, which is located in the northwestern part of the city in the Hotel.

Inside, players will find Toad who can sell them various items, including the Nurture Ring. This accessory will cost you 145 Coins. It can only be equipped by Peach and at first glance it does not affect the character in any way.

As we said, Nurture Ring can only be used by Peach. But when you equip it, you will not see any changes in the princess’s stats. The in-game description says that Ring is “Overflowing with the power of love.”

However, it is not as useless as it may seem. Nurture Ring reduces the damage of all elemental attacks that hit Peach by 50% in Super Mario RPG. In addition, the Ring will help you use another secret item called the Mystery Egg.

You can buy the Mystery Egg from the Moleville item shop. The item will cost you 200 coins. Next, players must use the Mystery Egg in combat 10 times during Peach’s turn with the Nurture Ring equipped. This way, you will unlock the Lamb’s Lure item, which can turn enemies into harmless lambs.

It is a pretty handy item, even though it doesn’t work against bosses or elite enemies. It’s also worth noting that you will not receive items or EXP for winning this way. However, Lamb’s Lure will help you finish unnecessary battles quite quickly. And if you use the item 48 times, you can evolve it into a Sheep Attack, which affects all enemies at the same time.

That’s all you need to know about how to get and use the Nurture Ring in Super Mario RPG. This mysterious item will help you increase Peach’s survivability and get a secret item, so be sure to purchase it.
