Tears of the KingdomĀ wastes no time letting players know Sheikah technology is out of fashion, and Zonai Capsules are the new norm. The change is more than welcome, though, since players now have access to a new world of devices to explore the highs and lows of Hyrule. With Zonai Capsules, players can spawn devices to make planks fly and turn minecarts into skateboards — the limit isn’t even the sky. But amidst all this creativity, you might have run out of Zonai Capsules, so where can you restock?

Once you’ve got Zonai Capsules, be it a balloon or a fan, you need to place it in the world for it to work. First, access your inventory by pressing the plus button, finding the right menu, or pressing the up arrow button. Then, with your inventory open, look for the capsules, and when you’ve found the one you want, press X to drop it in the world. Don’t worry; it usually spawns in a safe spot.Ā

When you’ve placed your Zonai Capsule inĀ Tears of the Kingdom’sĀ world, it becomes a Zonai device. This doesn’t mean anything besides that it’s no longer a blue blob and an object you can use. With Ultrahand, you can attach this device to other devices or world objects, like planks.

If you’ve run out of Zonai Capsules, don’t worry — plenty more from where that came from. You must head to a Zonai Device Dispenser in the Sky Islands to replenish your stock. In exchange for some Construct Horns or Zonai Charges, the Device Dispensers will give you random Zonai Capsules. For example, if you drop five Zonai Charges, you’ll get up to 12 Zonai Capsules!

If you’ve already finished the tutorial section, you can teleport to the shrines you’ve previously visited in the Great Sky Island. You’ll find a Zonai Device Dispenser with a Fan, Flame Spitter, and Portable Pot Zonai Capsules inĀ Tears of the Kingdom. Or, if you’re up for sky exploration, you’ll run into many more Device Dispensers with different Zonai Capsules, like the Wing or Big Wheel.

There are other ways to get Zonai Capsules, like finding them in Sky Treasures, but this method relies more on chance than anything else. If there’s anything we can recommend, be stingy with your Zonai Capsules. Ensure you can grab materials from the world instead of wasting them whenever possible.

Tears of the KingdomĀ is available on Nintendo Switch.
