Pokémon Unite has just been released on mobile devices and alongside it came a brand new Squad feature. This Squad feature can be very beneficial in trying to form teams and build communities in the Nintendo MOBA. The process of making and entering a Squad is not completely straightforward. Luckily, I can help you if you are struggling with it. This guide will show you how to join a Squad in Pokémon Unite.
How to Join a Squad in Pokémon Unite
Squads function similarly to guilds in other MOBAs and allow up to 30 players to join a single squad. It is a great way to formulate strong teams for your games rather than relying on random teammates in matchmaking. Players can create or join a Squad by going over to the “Unite Squad” button upon opening the menu. This will bring you two buttons: the “Join Unite Squad” and “Create Unite Squad.” If you want to do the latter, then select the button. It will bring you to a page that will ask you to enter the Squad’s name, tags to signify what type of players you are looking for, and Restrictions so that you can limit who you want to let in. Once all that is squared away and is all saved, you will have created a Squad.
If you want to join an already existing Squad, then go over to the “Unite Squad” menu and click “Join Unite Squad.” From here, you can search for a Squad of your choice by entering the name of the Squad or its ID number. Once you enter one of these, you then select “Request to Join.” Just know that if you are searching via the ID number, you must enter the # sign before entering the number. If the Squad request is labeled “Approval Required,” then you will have to wait to be let in. If approved, you will find yourself in a Unite Squad!
Pokemon Unite is available on Nintendo Switch as well as Android, and iOS devices.
