There are 3 different factions you can join in the New World. These groups are known as the Covenant, the Marauders, and the Syndicate. You can get Faction Tokens and buy faction-specific equipment, materials, or consumable items. It’s up to you which of these factions you want to join, as they all sell different styles and sets of items. However, if you want to change to a different faction in the New World for certain reasons, we can go over the process for you.
How To Join a Faction in New World
If you played New World on release, you should know that joining the faction has been changed. To enter a faction, check your map and look for the icons of Syndicate, Marauders, and Covenant. Go to the icon of the faction you want to join and talk to the leader. You will then need to complete between 5 and 7 missions depending on the faction you want to join. Once you have completed all the tasks, the leader of the faction will invite you to join the faction.
How To Change Factions in New World
In the New World, you may want to change faction because your current faction is under heavy defeat, or because your friends are in other factions. Fortunately, this is possible and you can do it quite easily. After changing factions in New World, you will go into cooldown for 120 days, during which time you will not be able to change factions again. In addition, your currently accumulated Tokens and Rank will be reset.
- First, open the Character menu by pressing the “K” key.
- Then press the “Change Faction” button at the bottom left.
- After that, a section with other factions will open in front of you. Click on the faction you want to switch to.
- Finally, press the “Change Faction” button again and change your faction for 100 Azoth in New World.
