In Grounded, players face danger at every turn. Whether it’s a small insect or something much larger, they can all kill you if you’re not prepared enough. Speaking of large, the Wolf Spider is one of the most dangerous creatures in Grounded. Although its moveset is similar to other Spiders, it can inflict devastating Poison effects. As a result, most players die the first time they encounter these enemies. Luckily, there are several ways you can increase your chances of winning.

Wolf Spiders are one of the most annoying hostile insects in Grounded. They roam from evening until early morning in the Grasslands biome. Players can often find them near Oak Tree, BBQ Spill, and Woodpile locations.

In addition, they are very fast, and it is very difficult to escape from them, especially if you have just recently started surviving in your backyard. In addition to all this, Wolf Spiders apply a Poison effect with each of their attacks:

  • Bite – The spider leans back and then quickly dashes to bite the target.
  • Lunge – The Spider leans back, stands up a little, and makes a quick lunge.
  • Jump attack – The spider raises its front legs and then jumps towards the player.
  • Bite Combo – A dangerous 5-hit combo that deals massive damage.

How To Kill Wolf Spider

As we said, every Wolf Spider attack inflicts Poison on players in Grounded. Also, sometimes the Spider can apply the Venom effect. Therefore, all strategies for defeating it are based on avoiding attacks.

The first and easiest way is cheesing. Since Wolf Spiders are very large, they can easily get stuck, for example, in shelters made of large leaves. You just need to stock up on arrows and hide in the opposite direction from the entrance. Then shoot the helpless Wolf Spider until you win. You can also hide in narrow places or high places where they won’t reach you.

The second way is parrying attacks. For this, you will need good tier 2 armor, such as Ladybug Armor. As for the weapon, spiders are weak to Spicy elements and Slashing damage types, so we recommend the Spicy Coaltana to make short work of them. If you learn how to parry every Wolf Spider attack, it will make surviving their poison onslaught much easier. Parry, heavy slash, dodge, and then repeat to make short work of them.

Grounded is available for PC and Xbox consoles.
