To improve your gameplay in Lords of the Fallen, you better level up your character as often as possible, and Vigor allows you to do so. You’ll need to pay attention to this mechanic to make progress in this game and expand your combat and exploration skills. In this way, your offensive skills and defense strategies will notably improve in each battle. Although the graphics have evolved in Lords of the Fallen version 2023, the player’s skill represents everything regarding gameplay in the original Lords of the Fallen style.

Leveling up your character in Lords of the Fallen is not a difficult task but rather a bit of strategy. In the game, Vigor is used as an exchange currency, and you will need a lot of it. Plus, a bit of knowledge on how to invest it to achieve the best version of your character doesn’t hurt.

Vigor can be obtained by completing objectives. Defeat the game’s bosses and enemies you encounter along the way. While weaker enemies drop less stamina than the big bosses, accumulate as much as possible to level up in Lords of the Fallen.

Another way to get Vigor is by consuming vigor skulls. You can track them anywhere in Mournstead. Finally, the quickest way to make money is from resources you don’t need. Collect all the items you find worldwide and then sell them.

When you have good stamina, go to a Vestige and click on the option to upgrade your character. You can level up in 6 different stat categories in Lords of the Fallen. To know the amount of Vigor you need to level up in each category, look at the purple bar in the left corner of the screen, in the upper margin.

Remember to level up in Lords of the Fallen every time you find Vigor. If possible, it is always good to have more Strength and Endurance to face the next boss, win the battle, and thus get more Vigor.

In sum, to level up easily and quickly in Lords of the Fallen, follow these steps:

  1. Get Vigor in Lords of the Fallen by selling items and defeating bosses or weak enemies.
  2. Go to a vestige and select the level-up option.
  3. Invest some stamina in the different categories of your character. Prioritize the ones that will help you gain Vigor again.
  4. If you die, you can pick up the lost Vigor at the place of your death. You can only do this once.

Lords of the Fallen is available on PlayStation 5, PC, and Xbox Series X/S.
