If you’ve ever played Old School RuneScape, then you should know that there are loads of bosses to locate and fight, like the Giant Mole. Though, finding them and actually fighting them are a bit difficult. Some bosses require special equipment, or certain levels, while others are pretty simple. This boss, in particular, is one of the easier bosses to take on, and one of the ones you can take on at a fairly low level. Old School Runescape: How to Locate the Giant Mole
The Giant Mole is pretty easy to track down, actually. All you have to do is head to Falador, and make your way up to the Falador Park. Below Falador is the Mole Lair where the Giant Mole boss resides. In order to gain entry to the Mole Lair, you’ll need to have a spade to dig your way down and some sort of f a light source. Be sure to use a light source that is covered, like a lantern or some sort. Once you’ve got these in tow, head to the Western side of Falador Park, where you will see loads of little mole holes scattered around. Pick one and dig down!
How to Defeat the Giant Mole in OSRS
The Giant Mole has two main attacks and abilities.
- Melee: The Giant Mole will swipe at your with its claws, dealing up to 21 damage
- Burrow: The Giant Mole will burrow into the ground and pop back up in another location when it’s healthy is below 50%
There is a safe spot for the Giant Mole that is fairly easy to find near the cavern walls. From here you can easily use Magic or Range to take down the Giant Mole quickly. Though, if you are a high leveled player and you have Dharok the Wretched’s equipment, you can take the Giant Mole down pretty quickly within 2-3 hits. Though, it’s recommended that you don’t use poison, as the Giant Mole may continue to burrow to avoid more attacks while it takes damage from your poison.
The suggested skills to take down the Giant Mole in Old School Runescape are:
- 92+ Life
- 70+ Attack
- 70+ Strength
- 70+ Defense
- 75+ Range
- 43+ Prayer
As you prepare to head into battle, your inventory should contain:
- Spade
- Bullseye Lantern
- 3 Divine Ranging Potions
- 11-14 Prayer Potions
- 3-4 Stamina Potions
- Falador Shield 3 or Falador Shield 4
- Ring of Wealth
- Rune Pouch with Nature and Fire Runes
- Dwarf Multicannon and Cannonballs (Optional)
