While it isn’t the most challenging thing to do, many players tend to skip the “read the recipe” part and just juggle the ingredients, hoping the medicing will turn out okay. Well, since the game doesn’t let you read the recipe while you’re preparing the medicine and the story actually changes a lot depending on what you do, here’s a guide to show you the right steps to craft this remedy.
What’s The Medicine Recipe in The Blood of Dawnwalker
While you will get the medicine recipe as part of your first quest in The Blood of Dawnwalker, we don’t blame you if you totally forgot to read it. Heck, most of us thought we’d get the option to check the recipe while working on the remedy, but that isn’t the case.
When preparing the medicine, remember to pick Hot Water and Two Spoonfuls of Herbs. This is the right preparation, and doing it right will show you a different cutscene and will change a few things that we’ll talk about later.
Now, as to what happens if you give your mom the wrong medicine, well, spoiler warning.
If you don’t prepare the medicine correctly, Brencis and his offspring will tear her apart—yes, that is what really happens. The rest of the tutorial will play out a bit similarly, but Coen won’t have a mother anymore.
Can You Save Your Mom in The Blood of Dawnwalker?
Absolutely. To do so, all you need to do is prepare the medicine correctly, with the recipe we already included above. Doing so will change the cutscene during the mass. Brencis will still throw your mom away, but she won’t break down, leading to her demise. The tutorial will also play out similarly; Coen will become a Dawnwalker, but you will now get the chance to rescue your mom, assuming you finish everything before the 30-day system ends.
Remember that the game doesn’t let you inspect things once you’re at the dialogue screen, so, just like the recipe, make sure to write things down or put that memory to work, as you’ll likely need to remember many things to pick the right choices for Coen. If not, well, you’ll likely have to go through the game more than once, which is expected in an RPG as big as this one.
