This article is over 2 years old and may contain outdated information.

The Dirty Ice Heist is one of the tense and compact heists available in Payday 3. This location has a more complex and layered map which can make the procedure of finding valuables, in this case a vault, more challenging. It is best to do this heist with friends, but you can also do it solo. So here is how you can find and open the vault in Dirty Ice Heist in Payday 3.

How to Find the Vault in Dirty Ice Heist in Payday 3

Finding the Vault

The first step of opening the vault in Dirty Ice is to find the vault. The vault is located in the restricted hallway of the jewelry. The game provides several options for each objective of the heist and this is no exception. There are three ways you can access the restricted hallway which are:

  • Unlocking the QR code door in the shop
  • Unlocking the door that leads to the VIP Showroom and use it as a pathway to the hall
  • Getting access to the basement and heading upstairs from there

Since this is a restricted access area guards will be on high alert and security cameras will be everywhere, so be careful. Once you’ve found the vault, turn around and head to the Manager’s Office. Hack the computer inside the office and look for the vault door email. In this email, it is mentioned that in order to open the vault two buttons must be pressed simultaneously. One is located on the manager’s desk and the other is next to the vault, but the vault’s button in Dirty Ice Heist in Payday 3 requires a keycard.

Where To Find the Red Keycard?

The Red Keycard we are looking for is in the basement which is locked. In order to find the code, you must once again check the manager’s computer. In one of the emails it will be mentioned that the basement’s code can be found in one of these three locations:

  • The Wi-Fi password in the breakroom
  • The Ledger in the VIP Showroom
  • The employee of the month photo in the shop

The location of the code will be random, but it will be mentioned in the emails in which of these locations the four-digit code is located. Once you get the code, it is time to head towards the basement. The best approach is to use the back-alley entrance. Once you get inside, go to the room with a safe on the wall. There you will find the keycard on top of a table. Get the card and you are good to go.

The next step is to press both buttons at the same time. If you have a partner, then you have to problem. If you are going solo, you have to take a hostage and force them to press the button. To do that, use the hostage as a human shield and walk them towards the button on the desk. Force them to press the button and then run towards the vault to use the keycard. And then the vault shall be open for you.
