Just like Chests in other games, you can find Treasure Vaults scattered throughout Hogwarts Legacy‘s open world, and while finding them in one thing, you must learn how to open them as well. Even though it may require the solving of a puzzle to achieve entry into these Treasure Vaults, it’s usually very well worth it, as Treasure Vaults carry riches and valuable items. However, within the game, the process of actually unlocking Treasure Vaults isn’t explained well, but that’s where we come in: to guide you through the process. Keep reading to learn how to open Treasure Vaults in Hogwarts Legacy.
You’ll soon find as you explore the open world of Hogwarts Legacy that each Treasure Vault you encounter will come with a different puzzle attached to it. As you approach each Treasure Vault, you will find a sign on the ground in front of it that shows the symbol for a specific Spell. You’ll need to pay special attention to this symbol, as you’ll need it to enter the Treasure Vault. Near the entrance of each Treasure Vault, you will see a dice-shaped object that will have a symbol that matches the one that can be found on the ground in front of the Treasure Vault.
In order to open the Treasure Vault, you’ll need to move the die so that the matching symbol sits on top of the sign. You can do this by using your Accio Spell. In most cases, you’ll have to move the die closer to the Treasure Vault in order to open it. However, once you’ve put the cube where it needs to be, all you have to do is cast the spell that is shown on both the sign and the die while aiming at the die, and you will be able to access the Treasure Vault.
Once you’re inside the Treasure Vault, you’ll follow a path that leads down to a chest that will contain a fairly good piece of gear. Though, keep in mind that not all puzzles will be the same. In some cases, you’ll have to pull a level or deal with shifting floors or moving staircases. It’s never the same.
