Even though Ready or Not is a tactical game that requires communication with teammates, some players rather go it alone. If you don’t have people to play with, or just don’t want to, you can play the game with bots. However, for those who would rather go through Ready or Not singleplayer, there’s a solution as well. Ready or not, let’s dive into how to play Ready or Not solo as well as our personal single-player tips and tricks.
Solo Guide – Ready or Not Walkthrough
Playing with bots is one thing, but playing completely by yourself in Ready or Not is another. While a Lone Wolf mode is technically not available in the game, it’s still doable. You’ll need to start the mission as you normally would with bots. The key part of this is that you then need to order the bots to stay in the spawn area. This means that they’ll hang back while you go into the building and do your thing.
It’s an interesting alternative for a popular mode that hasn’t been officially added. Obviously, it hasn’t stopped players from asking for it and ultimately, figuring out this workaround. To break the above down:
- Start the mission with bots as normal.
- Order the bots to stay in the spawn area.
- Continue the mission as normal.
If and when the official mode becomes available, we’ll be sure to update this article. Until then, you’ll have to make do with an unofficial workaround. It’s worth doing if you’re the type of player that genuinely enjoys the extra challenge. Otherwise, we just recommend waiting until it becomes an official part of Ready or Not.
Tips and Tricks
The added Commander Mode is a great way to practice your Ready or Not singleplayer skills. You’re designated in the role of commander with the task of choosing your squadmates. After strategic planning, you’ll need to lead your squad into battle. There’s a permadeath feature that makes each mission that much more difficult to get through. After every mission, you’ll receive a score based on your performance.
Commandor Mode also provides a narrative that helps you be immersed in the SWAT Team setting. If you aren’t looking forward to the work that comes with being a commander, then we recommend playing with bots. When you don’t have any squadmates to play with, then you can choose to actively play with bots. Even though we talk about how not to use the bots above, they’re important for getting the hang of how to play.
Instead of leaving them behind to go into the building solo, take them along. Learning how enemies react in different situations is great practice. Of course, you can always learn the hard way and leave them behind, but we don’t recommend that. To break it down, our tips for succeeding in singleplayer are:
- Try out Commander Mode.
- Play with bots.
- Practice actively playing with the bots left at the spawn location.
