The main mechanics of Zi Xiao are scrolls called Astroaspects. When you collect three of them, they will form an Astrohouse that will be displayed below your primary skill. You can get Astroaspects when you use your primary and secondary skills.
- The primary one is able to randomly fill your Astrohouse and then casts Fallen Star, after which you lose all Astroaspects.
- The secondary adds a random Astroaspect to your slot, and if there is no room, it replaces the first one.
How to Use Astroaspects in Gunfire Reborn
The power of Fallen Star depends entirely on what Astrohouse scrolls will be. Astroaspects are of different rarity, and the primary skill deals increased damage only if the Astrohouse is filled with scrolls of the same color. This is how Fallen Star works:
- An Astrohouse is considered Impure if at least one Astroaspect in it is different from the others. With this combination, the primary skill deals only 800 damage to all enemies within 3.5 meters.
- If all Astroaspects in the combination are of normal rarity, it is called Normal. With this Astrohouse, your Fallen Star will hit enemies twice each for 800 damage.
- If all Astroaspects are purple, then this Astrohouse is Rare. With it, Fallen Star hits like Normal, but it will hit again for 1000 damage in twice the radius.
- If all your Astroaspects are orange, i.e. Legendary, then Fallen Star hits first as Normal, then hits again for 1600 damage in a 7-meter radius and additionally makes a zone in which opponents become slowed by 50% and receive 1000 damage per second.
Owl in Gunfire Reborn also has an Astroaspect that does not belong to any rarity and is called Wild. Its peculiarity is that it can replace Astroaspect of any rarity, and if you fill Astrohouse with it, it will become Legendary.

The second ability is called Occult Scroll Reset, and it can exchange your scrolls for scrolls of the same rarity or higher, which has a very positive effect on the randomness factor. But note that you can change each scroll only once.
