The threat of monsters is a common problem shared amongst all areas, even near a major city like Junon. While heading to this military installation, you can encounter numerous monsters that won’t hesitate to rip you apart. Luckily, Cloud is a seasoned mercenary incentivized to hunt various powerful Fiends. Cacophonic Corvid is the first Fiend Intel in Junon, where you must pressure and stagger a massive avian beast named Fonadu in FF7 Rebirth.

FF7 Rebirth Cacophonic Corvid Fiend Intel Pressure Fonadu Guide

You can pressure Fonadu by dealing enough damage to the beast until it performs the Death from Above move in FF7 Rebirth. The winged monster will tuck its massive wings close and lunge at your character with fast speed. If you successfully dodge this attack, the creature will become pressured.

Unfortunately, this monster is quite weak, especially if you challenge it when you are at a higher level. To avoid the creature dying before you can stagger it, I recommend only using regular attacks.

Fonadu will typically perform the Death from Above attack whenever you remove a quarter of its HP bar in FF7 Rebirth. That means you only have three chances to evade the unblockable move and fill up the boss’ Stagger Gauge.

If you fail to pressure Fonadu, you can attempt Cacophonic Corvid Fiend Intel again by holding the Triangle button. The monster will immediately respawn, and you can try this challenge as much as you want. It may also be a good dodging exercise to prepare you for your eventual fight against Sephiroth.

Since Fonadu likes to stay in the air, I suggest bringing characters with ranged attacks, such as Barret and Aerith. However, the downside is that these two units are not very good at dodging due to their slow movement. You can also wait until Yuffie joins your party because she can use Ninjutsu from afar while still being agile.
