How to Recharge Abilities and Gadgets in Marvel’s Spider-Man 2

Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 is packed with many difficult combat encounters and more henchmen than you can punch, so using and recharging abilities is critical to success. Each ability and gadget only have so many uses, and you have to be quick on your feet if you hope to make use of them frequently in a fight. We will show you how these two aspects of Spider-Man’s powers work.

All Ways to Recharge Abilities and Gadgets in Marvel’s Spider-Man 2

As you can see in the image above, the abilities and gadgets work much differently in this action-packed sequel. To mainstream how clunky swapping between gadgets used to be, abilities and gadgets operate with a quick menu selection. Before we get into using them, let’s talk about the subject at hand and break down all the ways to recharge abilities and gadgets.

  • Land hits and built up the combo multiplier in combat.
  • Unlock the Focused Parry Damage Suit Tech upgrade. It will partially recharge abilities for each successful parry.
  • Earn the Combo King Damage Suit Tech upgrade. Every 10th combo hit will slightly recharge abilities.
  • Upgrade abilities on the skill tree to speed up how quickly abilities and gadgets recharge.

Once you learn how to keep these powers charged up, you then have to use them, which we will explain below.

How to use Abilities and Gadgets in Marvel’s Spider-Man 2

Using each of these sets of techniques has been simplified big time in this game. Miles and Peter both use each of these skills the exact same way. During combat, hold L1 and one of the four face buttons to use one of four equipped abilities. Likewise, hold R1 and the face buttons to use one of the four Gadgets equipped.

Each time you use an ability or gadget, it will have to be recharged before you can use it again. Now that you know how to recharge abilities and gadgets in Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, take the fight to Venom, Kraven, and all of the villains who pose a threat. To quickly summarize how to recharge abilities.

  1. Land consecutive combo attacks.
  2. Upgrade your Suit Tech skill tree.
  3. Unlock and upgrade abilities in each hero’s skill tree.
