How To Reset Dungeons in Diablo 4

A Dungeon is more fun when you can run it 30 times in a row…right?

Clearing Dungeons can be pretty worth it in terms of loot, but once you complete a Dungeon in Diablo 4, you’ll need to reset it before you can run it again. However, it can be pretty tricky to figure out exactly how to do that. In similar games, like Path of Exile, there are pretty easy ways to reset you instances so you can run through again. The same goes for Diablo 4, you just need to know where to look for that option.

Resetting Dungeons in Diablo 4 is pretty easy, and players do it for all sorts of reasons. Maybe you’re looking for a specific type of loot that only drops in one particular Dungeon. Maybe you found a great place for farming XP, and you just want to do it again and again until you reach the level you want. Whatever the reason, the process is simple:

  1. Clear the Dungeon to the extent that you wish. If you’re farming the end boss of the Dungeon, get to that point, finish up, and head back outside, then just inside the door of the Dungeon. If you’re just looking for some quick and easy XP from the other monsters, still follow the same pattern.
  2. Open up your map by pressing M on PC, the Windows button on Xbox, and the Share button on PlayStation.
  3. Access the Quest Journal once you’re in the map screen by pressing Q on PC, or left on your D-pad on Xbox or PlayStation.
  4. Select the red button that reads “Reset Dungeon” at the bottom of the Quest Journal.
  5. Head back inside and repeat the process to your heart’s content.

How To Reset in Multiplayer

  1. After you’ve completed as much of the Dungeon as you want to, have the Party Leader go into the Social menu and leave the party. This will kick them into a new instance.
  2. Wait a couple of minutes, then join up on the Party Leader again.

You can use these methods to reset Dungeons on both Normal and Nightmare Dungeons. However, you won’t be able to do this with anything related to the Diablo 4 campaign.

She strives to be a successful gaming blogger, and has no complaint about the hours of game time she used to increase her knowledge of all things “geek”. She primarily writes gaming articles and fantasy novels. Ark: Survival Evolved is a favorite, along with Diablo 3, Warframe and Minecraft lately, though you can’t forget the good old Magic the Gathering card game! Writing about games truly gives her joy as it gives her another perspective to look at games from, a reason to really look into the mechanics of the game.
