The new Fae Farm from Phoenix Labs has everything you expect from a farm sim and even more. As always, at the beginning, you will find a hidden but cozy place. And, of course, you will immediately be given a homestead, which you can customize to your taste. Then, you will be able to grow crops, breed animals, fish, and even get married. But in order not to lose your progress, you should save often. Fortunately, the game has manual saving. So, read on to learn how to save your game in Fae Farm.

The first chapter in Fae Farm begins when you are shipwrecked due to whirlpools and appear on the island of Azoria. It is a beautiful place, but due to the whirlpools, few people know about it. Therefore, Merritt, the mayor of the town, will be happy to let you get comfortable. We strongly recommend that you do not leave Fae Farm at this stage, as you will not be able to save your progress.

It is quite strange, but yes, until you complete the first chapter in Fae Farm, the save will not be available to you. Luckily, completing all the quests in this chapter won’t take long. You can reach the second chapter and unlock saves in about 20-25 minutes. In addition, all these quests will teach you the main game mechanics, such as crafting, fishing, cooking, etc.

Then, you will be able to save your progress in Fae Farm any time you want. To do this, you need to open the game menu and click on the button with the quill and ink icon. When you see a running chicken icon in the lower right corner, this means that your game has been saved.

It is also worth noting that in addition to manual saving, Fae Farm has auto-saving. It is a common feature for all recent games, so even if you forget to save, you will not lose your progress. However, we still recommend you manually save your game before exiting, as Fae Farm autosaves at the start of each day and after key events.

That’s all you need to know about how to save your progress in Fae Farm. The game has several saving methods, thanks to which players can safely enjoy life in Azoria. However, you need to complete the first chapter to unlock it. And while you are here, take a look at our guide on how to play Co-Op in Fae Farm.

Fae Farm is available on Nintendo Switch and PC.
