Theย Diablo series has long encouraged multiple playthroughs and character creations. With the different builds available alongside the plethora of loot, making various characters for separate playstyles is understandable. However, what if you find yourself with some incredible weapon but the wrong character to use it with? Well, like previous games, Diablo IV lets you share equipment between all of your characters. You just have to know where to go to do so.

How to Share Equipment Between Characters in Diablo IV

Diablo IV features a seemingly endless amount of monsters to battle, loot to grab up, and areas to explore. It’s a remarkable RPG experience in that you can go solo or jump into the PvP arena and test your skills against others right now in the beta version of the game.

Perhaps you find yourself nabbing some legendary loot, but the character you’re running isn’t designed to handle it. You don’t have to pull your hair out in frustration. Instead, you can just tuck it aside and share the equipment with the Diablo IV characters that can use it.

How do you do this, you may wonder? You do so with the wonder that is the Stash Chest.

If you’ve played previous Diablo games, the Stash Chest is nothing new. It has long been a way for you to pass around certain items to every character you create.ย Diablo IVย is no different. Simply interact with the chest and choose the equipment you wish to preserve. From there, you can run another character to use the chest and find said loot to use.

Before you can share your equipment inย Diablo IV, you must ensure all those characters reach a certain area.

You will first unlock the Stash option in Kyovashad. To reach it, you must follow along with the storyline as you will gain the task “Accompany Lorath to Kyovashad.” At this point, you may be a little over 1 hour into the game, perhaps between Levels 5-6.

Now that we have access to thisย Diablo IV city, we are one step closer to finding a way to share equipment between characters.

Once in the city, you can interact as you see fit, but head to the Waypoint to find the chest we need. From the Waypoint, you want to look north on the map. You will notice a Wardrobe and a Chest icon. The Chest icon is your Stash Chest.

So, simply head that way, and you’ll find an inn. Climb the second staircase and enter a small bedroom. This room contains the wardrobe and the chest you need. Now, you can finally share equipment between characters in Diablo IV. Of course, all those characters must also reach the same city to unlock the chest first.

Diablo IV releases on June 6, 2023, for PC, PS5 and PS4, and Xbox One and Series.
