Players can sign up for the Pokemon Sleep beta in certain parts of the world. While the beta access to the game is limited to where you live, players can still pre-register Pokemon Sleep so that once the game launches later in the summer, they can instantly download it. Pokemon Sleep has been a long time coming, first announced in May 2019. It has become an enigmatic presence within the fandom. The game is the polar opposite of Pokemon Go. Whereas Go is all about being active and going to new places, Sleep is all about getting a good night’s rest.

Unfortunately for fans, the Pokemon Sleep beta is limited by location and device. Only players from Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Canada, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Mexico, New Zealand, Venezuela, Panama, and Peru can sign up for the Pokemon Sleep beta. The beta is also only available on Android devices, not iOS.
If you live in those countries and have an Android device, follow these steps to sign up for the beta.
- Head to the Pokemon Sleep beta link on Google Play.
- Click Become A Tester.
- Download the Pokemon Sleep app on the Google Play Store.
- If you were added to the testing program, download the update on the Pokemon Sleep app to join the beta.
The beta will only last until July 13 at midnight UTC. The game will fully launch later in July and will be available on both Android and iOS devices.
How To Pre-Register for Pokemon Sleep
If you don’t live in any of the countries listed for the Pokemon Sleep beta, you can still pre-register for the game. When you pre-register the title, you’ll be notified when the game releases as soon as it launches on your device. The steps to pre-register Pokemon Sleep are simple.
The game is currently not available to pre-register on iOS. To pre-register the game on Android, follow these steps:
- Head over to the Google Play Store and sign in with your Google Play account.
- Go to the Pokemon Sleep homepage on Google Play.
- Hit the Pre-Register button on the Pokemon Sleep page.
Pre-registration for iOS will likely be similar to pre-registering on Google Play, if not identical. iOS devices use the Apple Store for all app purchases.

Pokemon Sleep has no set release date, but the Pokemon Company claims the game will launch in July. The title will only be available on Android and iOS devices.
