Want to know how to size up items in Hogwarts Legacy? The world of magic Hogwarts Legacy is full of amazing things, magical creatures, and exciting stories. But the beginning of the journey of any novice wizard is the study of spells. Among offensive, defensive, or Curse spells, there are more harmless but no less spectacular magic, and the Altering spell is one of them. Thanks to this spell, you can change the shape, color, and size up or size down items, but you can only do this in the Room of Requirement. But our guide is here to help you and tell you how to size up items in Hogwarts Legacy and get an Altering spell.

How to Unlock Altering Spell in Hogwarts Legacy

As we said, you must learn and use an Altering spell to size up items in Hogwarts Legacy. Unfortunately, you won’t be able to unlock this spell too early in the game’s story. First, you must find and visit the Room of Requirement by completing the Tomes and Tribulations quest. During this quest, Headmistress Weasley will ask you to find her. Although the quest line leads you into Astronomy Tower, you “accidentally” find the Room of Requirement along the way and meet Headmistress Weasley here.

After talking about the mysterious room, Headmistress will teach you three new spells: Evanesco, Conjuring, and Altering. These powerful spells allow you to distort reality in a room. But to balance and not ruin the narrative atmosphere of the game, you will only be able to use these spells in Room of Requirement. So you won’t be able to size up or size down anything you see in and out of the school hallways.

How to Use Altering Spell in Hogwarts Legacy

Once you have learned the Altering spell, you need to select it in the spell wheel and select the item to resize it. After that, click hitting Up or Down on your controller to increase or decrease the size. It’s pretty funny when you turn the statues into a table figurine or an inkwell with a feather into the main decoration in the middle of the room.

Once again, we remind you that you will not be able to size up or down items outside the Room of Requirement. The exception is when the plot requires it, but this is extremely rare. On the other hand, the Room of Requirement will become your second home after you unlock it. Here you can grow potion ingredients, train, and do whatever you want.
