Nightingale Bastille of Insight Puzzle Solution
You can solve the Bastille of Insight puzzle in Nightingale by activating several runes near the Fae structure. If you encounter this point of interest in the open world, you can generally find several stone pillars surrounding the puzzle core. The runes are often located on the surface of these rocks.
Small fairies like to hang around the Bastille of Insight in Nightingale. However, they are not connected to the puzzle, so feel free to ignore them. They are also quite hard to kill because they can quickly fly away from you.
Here are the steps you can take to solve this puzzle:
- Walk around the Bastille of Insight to find glowing red spots.
- Approach the light until the game gives you the prompt to examine.
- Locate several other runes until the puzzle core is activated.
- Release Hope Echo from the center of the puzzle core to claim your reward.
Luckily, unlike the Bastille of Intellect, you do not need to activate the runes in a certain order. Most of the time, you only need to examine three runes before the puzzle core is activated.
Bastille of Insight in Dungeons
Besides finding the Bastille of Insight in the open world, you may also encounter this puzzle when exploring dungeons in Nightingale. This challenge is much harder because the runes are hidden in hard-to-spot locations.
My best suggestion is to examine every room and wall in the area. You should also destroy any breakable objects since a rune could be hiding behind them.
During my playthrough, I traveled into a dungeon using a small portal. In this place, I encountered a Bastille of Insight puzzle, and I had to run around several floors to find all the runes. One hid behind a treasure chest, another behind several breakable barrels, and the last was put behind a large lamp.
The Bastille of Insight usually rewards you with Hope Echo, which contains various structure blueprints. On the other hand, you could get a Bundle of Essence when you solve this puzzle inside a dungeon.
