How To Solve the Chess Puzzle in Destiny 2

The new community puzzle is here, and Guardians are surely smashing their Ghosts against the wall, trying to solve it. However, this is a nice time in the game because we all come together, forget about balance issues and other things, and just try to solve this challenge to see what’s next. As usual, the dedicated secret-hunting community and other notable Guardians such as ourselves have pitched in to solve the chess puzzle in Destiny 2, and here we have a guide to show you what you must do.

Chess Puzzle Solution

In case you are behind the community puzzle in Destiny 2, here’s a guide for the 60 chess pieces and another guide for the puzzle location. You’ll need these two before solving the challenge. With that out of the way, here’s the solution to it:

[Note: To move pieces, or rather, spawn them, you need to step on the right plate and then shoot at the square you want the piece to appear in.]

1. Shoot Pawn E6
2. Shoot Rook H8
3. Shoot Pawn E5
4. Shoot Pawn E4, Pawn F4, and Knight D4.
5. Shoot Pawn E6 and Knight D5.
6. Shoot Pawn D1.
7. Shoot Pawn F4, Pawn D7, Knight G7, and Bishop G5.
8. Shoot Rook D2 and Knight C6.
9. Get rid of Knight (F6). You have to do this in the “Delete” plate.
10. Shoot Pawn E4, Knight D7, and Bishop F5.
11. Shoot Pawn C6, Pawn D7, and Pawn E6.
12. Take Bishop (E4). You must do this in the “Take” plate, which is across from the “Delete” one.
13. Shoot Bishop E5.
14. Shoot Pawn B7, Pawn F7, and Knight H8.
15. Shoot Knight D7 and Knight E7.
16. Delete Pawn (F2). Shoot Knight F2.
17. Take Bishop (C3). Take Bishop (F6).
18. Shoot Bishop C5, Knight D3, and Knight F5.
19. Delete Bishop (D7). Delete Bishop (E2)
20. Shoot Bishop E8.
21. Shoot Bishop E2.
22. Shoot Knight E5.
23. Shoot Knight E3.
24. Shoot Knight C4, Knight H3, Pawn B7, and Pawn B6. Delete Knight (D5)
25. Shoot Rook E2. Delete Queen (E4). Take Knight (F5). Shoot Queen D7. Delete Pawn (H4).
26. Shoot Knight B4, Bishop D5, and Queen E7.
27. Take Knight (C4). Take Knight (D6). Take Knight (E3). Take Knight (F5).

Once that’s done, you’ll get some loot, and a bowl of water will appear where the “Take” plate was. Interact with it and you’ll get a unique chessboard and a frequency number. It is important to remember that it seems almost everyone is getting a unique frequency and chessboard, but we’ve yet to discover what’s next for the puzzle.
