Enigmas are a fun new feature in Assassin’s Creed Mirage, giving players small riddles to solve and rewarding them with new outfit dyes or talismans. One such enigma, titled “Find What I Stole!” is available in the Harbiyah district of Baghdad pretty early in the game. Since this is likely the first enigma most players will find, its riddle can be tricky to solve, especially if you’re not yet familiar with some of the mechanics behind Assassin’s Creed Mirage.
“Find What I Stole!” Enigma Location
In summary, here’s how to locate the “Find What I Stole!” Enigma:
- In Baghdad, head through the Qutrabbul Gate and turn right
- Use Enkidu to find and mark the golden scroll icon at the Enigma’s location
- Follow the marker to recover and read the “Find What I Stole!” Enigma
When you first arrive in Baghdad early in the game, head through the Qutrabbul Gate and immediately turn right to see a stables vendor and an archway. At this point, use Enkidu’s Eye to locate the small golden scroll icon that indicates the Enigma’s location. Make sure to mark its position to keep you moving in the right direction.
To find the “Find What I Stole!” Enigma, pass through the archway and continue going straight until you see a stone gate leading to a small path down to the river.
Follow the path until you get to the river, then turn right to run along the wooden docks. Near the end of the docks, you’ll see a few palm trees and a path in the grass. Following this path up and to the right, you’ll find a small covered hut nestled in a corner with the Enigma sitting on a pillow.
Press triangle, A, or E on the keyboard to pick up the Enigma and add it to your Inventory.
How to Solve the “Find What I Stole!” Enigma
To solve the “Find What I Stole! Enigma, follow these steps:
- Travel to the Great Mosque viewpoint in Harbiyah
- Use Enkidu to locate the Soap Boiler’s District to the southeast
- Cross the easternmost bridge into the Soap Boiler’s District and enter the wooden hut
The first step in solving the “Find What I Stole!” Enigma is, of course, reading its riddle. To do this, open the Inventory, then go to the bag, and you’ll find the Enigma under the “Enigmas” category.
The riddle reads as follows:
The guards are closing in, and I must write this quickly. I have obtained what was seeking just as I said I would but I have run out of time! Avenge me and find what I risked my life for! Search the soap boilers… and from the heights, look for the colorful fabrics! Remember me for my courage and not my fate and I bid you good luck!”
Assassin’s Creed Mirage/Ubisoft
In order to solve the Enigma and get your reward, you’ll need to “search for the soap boilers” – aka, find the Soap Boilers District of Harbiyah. The district is located just southeast of the Great Mosque, and it’s far easier to reach if you have the Great Mosque viewpoint completed.
From atop the viewpoint, face southeast and use Enkidu to find the Soap Boiler’s District. Scan the skies until you discover the “colorful fabrics”: a blue and an orange canopy, like in the image below. Make sure to drop a marker here for future reference.
Exit Enkidu’s Eye and head east-southeast from the Great Mosque. We recommend crossing the easternmost bridge into the Soap Boiler’s District, as the other bridges have guards that may get suspicious of you depending on the notoriety level you’re currently holding.
You’ll know you’ve reached the Soap Boiler’s District when the air gets somewhat cloudy. After you’ve crossed the bridge into the Soap Boiler’s District, you’ll see a small wooden hut directly in front of you. This should be the same place you dropped your marker earlier.
Enter the small wooden hut, and you’ll find your reward for solving the “Find What I Stole!” Enigma: the Black Zanj Uprising outfit dye. As the name implies, this dye can be used with the Zanj Uprising outfit, which can be found in the Harbiyah Upper Harbor, though it’s locked behind a puzzle.
