Some of the quests you’ll get in Hell Is Us are called “Mysteries,” and they act like optional objectives in a way. While you don’t need to complete them to progress through the story, it is worth chasing them, as all of them will unlock new items, research objects, and maybe even clues for other Mysteries you can solve down the road. One of the first you’ll find in Vyssa Hills, the third area of Hell Is Us, is called Lucky Break, and while it may seem challenging at first, it is a short quest if you know where to look for the necessary items.

‘Lucky Break’ Mystery Walkthrough in Hell Is Us

The Lucky Break Mystery in Hell Is Us might be a real brain-teaser, as it will only unlock after obtaining one specific item. When you arrive on Vyssa Hills for the first time, you’ll notice a hill to your left and some ruins. If you follow that path and enter the ruins, you’ll see a chest.

However, like many other puzzles, you won’t have the right item to unlock it, and to make matters worse, the Mystery won’t trigger here. Instead, you need to head to the center of the area and find an entrance to a mine shaft.

The entrance is pretty easy to find, as it is next to the tree in the middle that progresses the main story. Once you locate it, head inside and keep going until you encounter a path on your left.

This corridor will have three regular enemies that you can beat quickly with a Lymbic ability or by kiting them outside of the corridor. Once you defeat them all, keep going until you find a skeleton.

Approach the skeleton and press the prompt. Doing so will give you the Key – Rusted item, which will now unlock the Lucky Break Mystery.

Now, you must return to the spot where you found the chest, which is in the ruins to the left of where you entered the zone, and use the key.

After opening the chest, you’ll get the following items:

  • Lymbic Polearm (Weapon)
  • Flower Medallion (Research Item)

It may not seem like it, but both items are quite helpful, especially if you want to upgrade your second Polearm with a different element to try a new build, and the Flower Medallion will increase your Research progress with Tania.
