Pirates bury their treasure. The secret-keepers of Palia use trickier tactics. What makes the Twin Waves Riddle so deceiving is the first part almost solves itself. You’ll probably stumble upon the first clue during the Lost in the Wind quest or while exploring. Once you do, you’ll be prompted to track down the second twin. What’s a twin without their other half, after all? The bad news is the second piece of the Twin Waves Riddle is a tougher nut to crack. Get too frustrated and you might even need a Grimalkin’s shoulder to cry on. We recommend Zeki. Here’s how to solve the Twin Waves Riddle in Palia.
How To Start the Twins Quest in Palia
(Updated on March 27th, 2024 – updated images and clarified quest steps)
To start the Twin Waves quest in Palia you need to visit the ruins north of the Statue Garden in Bahari Bay. You can find the ruins near the spot where the two rivers combine. At the center of the ruins is a huge white monument, on the face of which is a mysterious symbol. Interacting with the symbol provides the first clue of the Twin Waves Riddle: “Find my twin by rolling waves, return for treasure from the ocean’s grave.“
The first clue does point the way to the second symbol you’re looking for, but it’s not exactly clear how. To be fair, it wouldn’t be a very good riddle if it spelled everything out. To find the second symbol, you’re going to need to journey south.
Finding the Second Twin
Travel south until you reach the Old Light House halfway between Lighthouse Lagoon and Beachcomber Cove. You’re probably familiar with the Cove from the Better Days quest if you’ve already helped Zeki out. Starting from the pier, approach the lighthouse, but don’t climb the stairs Instead, approach the area overgrown with vines on the left side of the stairs. Walk through the vines to find a hidden area. You’re almost ready to complete the Twin Waves Riddle in Palia.
Inside you’ll find the second mysterious symbol and its clue: “Find my twin by falling springs, it awaits you with treasured things.” Return to the ruins where you found the first symbol to claim your reward: a Pirate Treasure Chest and Copper Tile Floor. It’s not exactly “X marks the spot,” but treasure’s treasure. At least now you’ll have fancier floors.
Palia is available for PC and Nintendo Switch.
